吴发成火锅Goh Huat Seng Steamboat

Looking for delicious steamboat restaurant in Penang Island? You should try Goh Huat Seng Restaurant.

It is indeed a heritage trade right in the center of historic George Town. It is one of the oldest Teochew Restaurants in Penang, which is around 50 year’s history.

Nowadays, most of the modern steamboat restaurants are using electric stove to heat up the pot, whereas Goh Huat Seng still sticks to its tradition of metal steamboat pot with a funnel in the middle for charcoal.

Actually, there are many locals favor with this shop with and if you are not from Penang and wish to experience the local cuisine that is delicious, value for money and rich with traditional values, then wait no more and head straight to Kimberley Street for an unforgettable dinner! The Steamboat Package would be (RM60, RM70 or RM80). However, It cost only RM 40 if only 2 pax.

The charcoal steamboat pot is quite small


They put a long funnel on top to prevent the charcoal fire from flying all over

Deep fried garlic (free)-tasty by putting this as much as possible

There were Fish balls, fish slice, fried Japanese Taufu,enoki mushrooms, some vegetables,etc...


There were cuttlefish, fish, chicken meat, prawns,squids, bird eggs and meat balls,fried ‘Fu Zhuk’ and chicken slices, and ‘kao chee’.... etc.( This plate is for 2 pax.)
